Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

I've missed the last few weeks of the Scavenger Hunt so I decided to make sure I participated this week! 

1. Things That Look Like a Letter of the Alphabet

I tried really hard to find something original but had to go with this for the letter 'T'

2. Weather

The weather has been really windy lately, perfect for kite flying :)

3. Bling

My hubby gave me this ring for my 16th birthday....I turn 30 at the end of the year, lol

4. Tangled

I originally planned to take a photo of Charlotte with her Tangled book (she LOVES the Tangled movie!) but ran out of time so I'm using these snake pictures from Friday :D Charlotte was brave enough to have the snake around her neck - William however must take after Mummy! I HATE SNAKES.

(The snake is kind of tangled up...right? lol)

5. Dark

I had to take this one from the archives, oops! But it goes well with a funny little William story from through the week:

We were out in the backyard just as it was getting dark and William pointed to the moon in the sky "Mummy Look! Dere is! Dat's da mooosh!"

hehehe

I tried to tell him it's the 'moon' but he kept saying "NO! Dat's da MOOOSH!"

Sunday already!

1. Long Exposure

So I had to go to the archives for this one. I did have a plan but the weather has been yuck and Charlotte has had matching behaviour, lol so you get to see this again :)

I used a long exposure to give the water that smooth silky look.

2. Shapes

William's In The Night Garden shape sorter from above.

3. Green

William in a green shirt peeking over a green hedge. He was watching model trains. He luffs trains :) And I love the look on his face :)

 

4. Fruit

 Some juicy orange wedges!

5. Childhood Memory

I had no idea what I was going to do for this prompt, then I remembered this photo of me when I was little standing in a giant pair of clogs. I'd just taken the photo on the right of Charlotte on our recent family holiday so thought I'd put them together :) 

If your wondering why the quality of the picture of me is so appalling its because it's a photo of a photo thats inside an album. Lazy, I know =D I tried to make the one of Charlotte match it, lol

Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

I didn't think I would get these in on time because my silly internet wasn't working all weekend :S But I'm on and I'm glad because I love my photos this week :)

1. HOT HOT HOT

Haha yep, a picture of my hubby :D I'm sure I'm not the only one who's using their hubby for this prompt, lol

2. Finding Form

I hope this is right...you can see form in the stairs, they don't look like a flat 2D shape in the photo. If not, then please enjoy this pretty photo of the Sydney Opera House stairs ;)

3. Front Page of the News

So this is what's been making the front page of our local news. We had some pretty wild weather last week and there were water spouts off Avoca Beach! This was a huge deal because we rarely see twisters here in Australia, which I'm very thankful for after hearing about the devastating tornadoes in the US recently.

4. Chore

Ironing is a bit of a boring chore if you ask me! Although I think my iron looks kind of pretty in this shot, lol

5. Beads

I'm surprised how well this shot turned out since my little hand model was a bit of a pain in the butt, lol. It went something like this "Hey Charlotte can you help me with a photo please?" "Yes yes yes Mummy!" I gave her my bracelet to wear and told her to just stand still and relax her hand....you can imagine how much jumping and hand shaking went on after that haha!! But when I put them on the computer this one was just what I was looking for :)

Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

Another Sunday, time for the Scavenger Hunt!

1. Classic Still Life

I'm guessing classic still life was meant to be something more along the lines of a fruit bowl or vase of flowers, lol but I ran out of time so you get this instead :D My friend asked me to get a nice picture of her two boys 'special' toys, the ones they take everywhere with them, so that she'll always have a little reminder of them incase they become a little too well loved ;)

2. Self Portrait

Ugh I hate self portraits, lol. I took this while on holidays at a butterfly house...I was aiming for the butterfly on my shoulder but got half my face instead! I kinda like it but think I should start wearing makeup :P

3. On The Floor

Another from our holiday, we had a huge spa bath in our room which the kids decided to take advantage of every night! Somebody went a little overboard when squirting the bubble bath in and as a result the bubbles spilled over onto the floor!

I won't tell you about the nice little "gift" William left in there on the last night for me to scoop out...oh wait I just did ;D

4. Lines

We've had a beautiful sunset every night this week. So when I decided to go outside and take a picture of the power lines for the scavenger hunt, of course there were great big rain clouds sweeping in :/ 

5. Fresh

There are no words for how fresh and zesty this lime shower gel is. It.smells.SO.GOOD!

I love it :D





And some exciting news (well, exciting to me haha!) my muddy puddle photos of Charlotte won the 'Outdoors' Challenge for Perceptive Perspective, yay!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

It's been a while since I had time to join in the scavenger hunt! We've been away on holidays all week and I wasn't sure I'd make it but here I am, yay!

I have HEAPS of photos to share from our trip (just under 1800 in 5 days lol) but for now here are my hunt items :

1. My Passion

Besides my family, my passion has always been photography, for as long as I can remember but only in the last 12 months have I had the money to buy some decent lenses and learn how to use everything properly! I'm proud of myself for taking the time to learn and am really excited about where its heading :)

2. Sound of Music

Haha so I took this one quite literally :D The Sound of Music is my most favouritest movie ever and ever and ever :) I know all the words and have a little bit of a collection going :D

This prompt actually couldn't have come at a better time because my Sound of Music collector barbie arrived today that I found on Ebay hehe (yes, I'm a dork) Also at this very moment my Mum and Dad are on their way to Austria to do the whole Sound of Music experience, so jealous!!! They're going to all the places from the movie and they better bring me back lots of souvenirs!! They've already been to London, Amsterdam (my Grandma is Dutch) and Prague and after Austria are heading to Paris, lucky ducks!

3. Inner Beauty

A plain rock on the outside, pretty sparkly crystals on the inside :)

4. Ethereal

I think this photo of Charlotte has a bit of an ethereal look to it :) It's from our muddy puddle shoot which  promise I'll get around to sharing very soon!!

 

5. Sharp

Ok I had to steal this one from the archives, lol but it's only from a couple of weeks ago! Pencils, nice and sharp and fresh in their box :)

Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

I didn't think I was going to join in this week but we went for a Sunday afternoon bush walk and I decided to go through the Scavenger Hunt list while we were out :)

1. Movement

Charlotte in mid flight jumping across the rocks at the look out.

2. Waiting to Click

I had to wait until just the right moment to click the shutter for this shot. I got my little assistant to throw handfuls of pebbles into the puddle for me :D

I'm using this shot for Come Exploring With a Camera but I could have used the first shot too, I had to wait for her to be in the air before I clicked!

3. In Fashion

Well if Gumboots, shorts and a clear plastic umbrella aren't a complete fashion statement, I don't know what is!

Actually, this is the first time in 3 days thats she's had on anything other than the yellow pettiskirt I bought her that arrived on Friday haha! She was so excited to get it, she hasn't stopped twirling all weekend and has received lots of compliments from random strangers while we did the shopping, went to the library, walked to Grandmas etc :D 

And you can definitely expect to see a little photo shoot of her in it when we get time!

4. Animal's Perspective

I imagine this is what it would look like to an ant before these big boots came crashing down on it! I really like the processing on this one, I used Coffee Shop's Vintage News action. Maybe an ant really does have grainy b&w vision, who knows!

5. Many

So this is where I dropped the ball, it started pouring on our walk so we had to race back to the car before I got my 'many' shot and the light was gone by the time we got home to do my back up shot so you get to see my shot of many crayons spilling out the box that I shared last week!
