Quarterly Top 5 {July - September}

Oh my goodness, another 3 months has passed already! This year is absolutely flying! I can't believe my baby girl only has one more term of Kindergarten left, crazy.

I'm posting this a little early because in the morning we are off on a little holiday seeing as Charlotte is on school holidays :)

I haven't shared this photo before, as I only took it yesterday with my new Canon 7D and Canon 24-105mm f4 L lens! There's a pretty cool story behind how I ended up with the new gear which I'll share later :)

I'm still figuring out how to use it so any tips would be greatly appreciated!

This is a photo of Charlotte's first time riding her brand new bike with NO TRAINING WHEELS!

This was taken at the beach when a leopard seal decided to visit! That was a very rare occurrence and very exciting! You can see pictures of our seal visitor HERE.

This was taken a few weeks ago at The Museum of Fire (pictures HERE.) We took William there as a treat for his 3rd birthday, he's obsessed with Fireman Sam and fire engines :)

Quarterly Top 5! April - June 2012

I'm really struggling to find the time for photography and blogging lately. Even though I haven't taken many photos this quarter, the ones I do have are definitely some of my favourite work, quality over quantity I guess!!

I took this photo back in April while the kids were helping their Daddy wash the car. I'm not sure what it is exactly I love about this photo, his expression, his curls, the way his little pinkie is sticking out while holding the sponge haha. I just think he looks like a real little man here, I love it :)

 This was from back in April too, on our holiday to the Gold Coast in QLD. We'd had to postpone our trip for a month due to Charlotte's broken arm, (we were still ok to travel, then a week after she broke it they realised they'd missed that her elbow was dislocated too and we would not be travelling any time soon!) 

As you can imagine, after 6 weeks of being strapped up in an awkward position right under her chin, she was stoked to have her arm free and be able to enjoy the water!

 Another from our QLD trip, these were taken at Sea World Resort where we were lucky enough to be staying! They had a huge pool area that was Sponge Bob themed! I love the pure joy on William's face in this shot :)

I loved this entire series of photos  I took of charlotte! The boots were brand new and I thought it would be fun to do a little photo shoot with them on :) The flowers were Charlotte's idea, I think she looks so cute, especially with her little skinned nose haha.

This one is from the above session, when William decided to join in the fun! I love the action in this shot, how he's up in the air and the handful of gravel he's just thrown :) There is a follow up shot of the gravel landing on his head, lol.

1st Quarterly Top 5 - 2012

I probably say this every time but I can not BELIEVE how fast this year is going! GAH!

As always, it was really hard to choose a Top 5, I've done a couple of really fun shoots with the kids so far this year but I've chosen some favourites!

I haven't even shared these pool shots yet and they were taken back in January =O This was at our holiday unit on the Gold Coast, the kids and I went with my Mum :)

A few weeks ago I realised I hadn't taken any photos all week and would have nothing for my Project 52, so I grabbed my camera and did some shots of William in the bath. He's so funny! You can see the rest of this shoot HERE. 

This is probably my favourite shoot I've ever done...my baby girls first day of "big school". She started Kindergarten in January and is loving it so far! We had a quick session out in the lane way before heading off to the school. This is my favourite shot but you can see plenty more HERE including some hilarious Charlotte poses ;D

Another from William's bath shoot. Couldn't you just eat him up?! He has the best grin :D

It was hard to choose a favourite from this Swings + Sun Haze shoot, but I've gone with the big happy smile. I love sun haze in a photo, it makes everything so pretty :)

For those of you that have been following Charlotte's broken arm, she's heading back to Hospital  next Wednesday to hopefully get her cast removed, yay! The poor thing hasn't been allowed to take even her sling off for the last 5 weeks and she hasn't complained once! I couldn't be prouder of my brave little girl :)

Quarterly Top 5!

I can't believe we're already up to the 2nd Top 5! This year is flying!

As usual it was tough to narrow it down to 5 and also tough to decide which child would feature 3 times and which only twice LOL! =D

He needs a haircut, everyone mistakes him for a girl :/

Firstly, it was REALLY hard to just pick 5 photos! I could have easily picked 5 of EACH child, lol but I've narrowed it down like a good girl :D

William and his best mate Hoot :) Hoot is one half of Giggle and Hoot, they host ABC for Kids here in Australia and William loves Hoot, he snuggles up to him every night in his cot :)

The kids were all dressed up for their Aunty's baby shower so I took advantage and got some quick snaps of them on this super cool vintage rocking horse I scored off a friends Mum!
