William's First Haircut!

So I finally caved in and got William's first haircut, at 20 months :( It was hanging in his eyes and it was starting to do this weird kick-out at the sides like Carol Brady, lol

I was worried that his curls would be gone but it looks like they may be here to stay *fingers crossed*

He looked so little in the chair!

 Charlotte played peekaboo with him so he would keep his head straight. Look at his widdle face in the mirror :)

 He was such a good boy!

Until he ripped off the cape and stood up on the chair and tried to leap off :/

But she was just about done by then :D

They're now safely wrapped up in the special pocket of his baby record book :)

Macro Friday

I'm so excited to have been chosen as last weeks winner of Macro Friday! And now I get to choose this weeks winner, yay! If you would like to see my winning photo, you can see it in this POST.

And now for my photo this week (don't worry, I won't pick myself haha :P)

Probably not *really* a Macro, lol, but I really wanted to share it :) I got a similar bubble shot a couple of months ago and thought it might have been a fluke but turns out I could do it again :D

and if you look really closely you can see my reflection in the bubble hehe.

Now I'm off to finish checking out everyone's entries and pick the winner!

Charlotte and the Tiger Moth's

On the weekend Charlotte was out the back painting (which is why she is wearing only paint-covered undies, lol) when she came inside to show us the moth she'd caught

*warning, many many photo's ahead LOL!*

I quickly grabbed my camera and went outside with her and started snapping some shots

Then a second moth joined the party..

It was tough choosing which macro, but I like how you can see her little belly in this one, lol

Isn't she cute??

I wasn't making her do all these different poses, the moths kept flying away and crawling around so she was twisting this way and that trying to hold on to them!

I can't wait til I get a better lens :/

This is where things got interesting..

She was so busy trying to pick up the one at the bottom that she wasn't paying attention to this little guy at the top...

hehe its legs are actually in her mouth!

I should add, all the photo's were processed with my new favourite Action 'Luna' from My 4 Hens "Glory" set.
I'm in love with it!

Honey to the Bee..

Remember that song by Billie Piper? lol

We went for a walk to the playground (not the close playground, the FAR AWAY playground that takes at least an hour to walk to and is about a 10km round trip that doesn't wear our 3 year old out but makes me want to curl up in the foetal position and cry like a baby haha) and there was a pretty lavender bush there that I thought I would photograph for another photo challenge, but when I got up close I saw it was covered in bee's so I started snapping away and thought I would share them for Macro Friday :)

For my editing I just cropped them and then used Paint The Moon's 'Dreamy Rainbow Tints and Mists' in Passionfruit Mist :)
