We've Almost Made It..

....to two years breastfeeding :)

Tomorrow my baby boy will be a big two year old! And he's still breastfeeding, only at night and occasionally through the day if he's upset (he's been a bit sick this week which is when I managed to snap this picture) but we've made the two year mark, just like I did with his big sister. Probably the only area of parenting where I've earned a gold star LOL, the rest I think I'm failing miserably at ;D I'm very lucky to have been able to breastfeed for so long :)

I don't think we'll be going much longer than this so I really wanted to get a final breastfeeding picture :)

Expect lots of birthday pictures to come! I'll be busy making a Bob the Builder cake today for tomorrow then we're having a Caillou themed party for him on Saturday, can't wait!

I Learned...

This week I learned that you really need to do a newborn shoot as soon as possible! My niece was 13 days old when I did her photos and she was already very awake and not very into any of my nice sleepy poses, lol

I do love this one though, even though everyone does this pose I've never tried it before and I think it turned out lovely :) 

Next time someone wants me to do newborn photos I'll tell them to swing by on their way home from hospital ;D

We took the kids for a walk to the park yesterday but the swings had huge mud puddles underneath them so some of us made our own fun ;)

Meet Miss Emilia :)

Last week I got to photograph my brand new niece Emilia :) She's the eleventh grandchild on my husbands side of the family!

Isn't she sweet? 

She wasn't much in the mood for photos, we just missed that window where they're nice and sleepy and floppy still, lol. She was only 13 days old but had just started to have some awake time in the last day or so so was a bit cross when we stripped her down, even with the heater on!

But I still got some cute shots of her and of the rest of the family, I'll share some more once my sister in law has seen them :)

   

I learned..

I learned that our driveway makes a great background for photos :)

Well, photos of William, Charlotte likes to be awkward and move around and do weird faces, lol.

I've also learnt that it's incredibly hard to find time for photos and blogging at the moment, so my blog has been a little neglected lately :( BUT I had a newborn shoot with my beautiful niece last week that I will share very soon!

Who's Got A Tummy?!

We had some fun on the driveway while we waited for hubby to get home from work the other day. I'm so pleased with these photos, definitely framing some of these!

Sleepy Sausage

I've been meaning to get some pictures of William sleeping in his cot for a while now, seeing as he's almost two (!) and won't be in there much longer!

I was heading in to wake him up from his afternoon sleep when I thought I'd quickly snap some :)

 You can see the remains of his lunch around his mouth, lol. I could've fixed it but that would just be more work!

 This is when big sister thought she'd get in on the fun!

 It's so nice when they get along for a change!
