Kookaburra Sits on the Electric Wire...

..Jumping up and down with his pants on fire,
Ouch, Kookaburra ouch! Kookaburra
Hot your tail must be!

Haha don't worry, no Kookaburra's were harmed in the making of this photo =D

I've been trying for absolutely ages to get a photo of birds on the power lines...but they're always there when I'm not ready! I was sitting in Mum's front yard with my brother yesterday when Mr Kookaburra flew up and perched on the lines and I managed exactly one shot before he was startled off by a passing car.

I decided to try out Shadow House's Raised Effect Texture on it too, I think I kind of like it :)

  6. Gorgeous shot!! There aren't many powerlines where we live so I rarely get the opportunity to take such a photo.

  11. Visiting from "This or That"...I've been wanting to use that texture too and just waiting for the right photo to apply it too (an elusive find for me so far). But I do like how you applied it to your capture. Very nice!
