It's that time of year again, not only are we busy with Christmas but my little princess turns another year older!
This year we went with a rainbow theme, because RAINBOWS.
We kept it fairly simple this year, we invited the girls from her class at school and just celebrated at home with a few games and activities.
The cake was pretty easy, 6 round cakes stacked on top of each other with white frosting and smarties. The cake topper was made from seven water balloons that we filled with sprinkles!
More on the cake in a bit..
Of course it wouldn't be a party if we didn't invite our favourite party person, the beautiful Miss Fairy's Face Painting!
She seriously does the best face painting I've ever seen, so many little details, with lots of glitter and even gemstones!
How cool is William's Minion?!
She'll even let us Mum's sneak a turn in, if we're really lucky ;)
(I did NOT want to wash this off that night, haha!)
Rainbows and butterflies and unicorns and mermaids and dinosaurs and Minions!
(William's face! Cranky pants!)
You can also find Miss Fairy on Facebook.
Now for the fun part!
Instead of blowing out candles, Charlotte popped the seven sprinkle filled balloons, which showered the cake in sprinkly goodness :)
(It's serious business popping balloons)
The kids thought it was great! There were sprinkles flying everywhere!
Of course it was rainbow layers inside ;)
I just used food colouring drops from the supermarket, very pleased with how bright they came out!
20 Questions! This is the first I've heard of her wanting to be a gardener, lol
And the lovely invitations I whipped up in photoshop :)
The cute mermaid is from an Etsy store called Grafos. Well worth checking out, she has some gorgeous clip art. I also used her work when I designed William's Buzz Lightyear, Mike and Sully Minions Party invites!

Wait! Only 6 layers? What happened to pink??
ReplyDeleteAwesome pics, looks like a great party :)
