While we were in Coffs Harbour we made a last minute decision to visit the Butterfly House and I'm so glad we did, it was much better than I thought it was going to be :)
There were HUNDREDS of butterflies in there, it was awesome :D
There were plenty of opportunities to snap some pretty pictures
(I shared this one yesterday in Black & White)
{Showing Off My Shot and linking up with Little Somethings 'Macro' challenge and "I Learned" @ Click it Up a Notch - I learned I love playing with texture!}
And the staff were great, they explained all about the cycle from egg to chrysalis to butterfly
And they had tubs of empty chrysalises and butterfly wings for the kids to feel
They even gave Charlotte a bag of butterfly wings and a bag of chrysalises to take into preschool for show & tell :)
{I used Kim Klassen's Warm Sun texture}

I could have stayed there all day
Hubby caught one on his finger and tried to put it on William's head, lol.
Outside they had a old wooden maze. Charlotte had to come back in and rescue William and I hehe :D
They also had a big butterfly you could stick your face in for photos, so of course I marched my kids straight over there ;D
It was such a great afternoon, the kids had an absolute blast!
