Quarterly Top 5!

I can't believe we're already up to the 2nd Top 5! This year is flying!

As usual it was tough to narrow it down to 5 and also tough to decide which child would feature 3 times and which only twice LOL! =D

So here they are, my quarterly Top 5:
I took this one on Sunday while we were bush walking, the Willy Man decided he might have a little lie down in the middle of the track hehe.
He needs a haircut, everyone mistakes him for a girl :/

This is my gorgeous girl on Easter Sunday, hunting for eggs at Grandmas house in her new pettiskirt :D
William jumping in puddles wearing his Top Gun jacket =D
Charli Chicken at swimming lessons. I LOVE this photo :)

My handsome little stud muffin :D

I Clicked It Up A Notch - June

It was actually easy to pick this month's photo!
I took this on Saturday after Charlotte's swimming lesson and I love it :) I told her to do a nice smile for Grandma so naturally she screams "GRANDMA!" instead, lol
I was using my Canon 50mm f/1.8 and sometimes I have trouble with the focus with that lens but I think I got it spot on with this shot for once! I love the colours  and DOF and how crisp it is, especially for an indoor shot (though there were windows behind me)

So there you have my favourite for June :) Now to narrow my photos down for tomorrows Top Five!!

Homemade Puffy Paint!

Since it's been pretty rainy lately, we had to come up with some fun indoor activities. I found a super easy recipe for homemade puffy paint on Pinterest (come follow me!)..
1 Tbs Self Raising Flour
1 Tbs Salt
Food Colouring (a few drops)
Water (enough to make a runny paste)

And you just mix it all up :D

{I Learned...How to make puffy paint! LOL}

 We used cotton buds to paint with..

Then once you've finished your picture you put it in the microwave on high for 30 seconds and it comes out nice and puffy!
 Charlotte was painting while watching her favourite tv shows - Fireman Sam and Octonauts :D
 Concentrating on her masterpiece..

and then, she {snapped}

 Then she thought she might try some mouth painting, lol

the long road

Just a little something Mummy whipped up ;D

William was asleep while we painted so we let him have a turn when we got back from jumping in puddles

He really only wanted to stick his fingers in the paint though :D

Thanks for stopping by!

More Puddle Fun!

We've had heaps of rain lately, so when the sun finally came out to play I bundled the kids up and we headed down the lane behind our house to check out the huge puddle on the corner of our street..
I love it when the kids play nice and love each other :)

Sweet Shot Day

Some of you may remember the Muddy Puddle shoot I did of Charlotte jumping in the mud in her pretty party dress a little while ago...it was a bit too cold for full on splashing in the mud this time..
But I said they could have a quick walk through..

Photobucket

    William was a bit unsure...
But soon got into the fun!

He's a just bit cute :)
That's last years jacket, I call it his 'Top Gun' jacket hehe, a pair of baby aviators and he'd be a mini Tom Cruise, lol

{Linking up with Happy Monday's 'Something Cute' challenge}

Charlotte couldn't resist a few kicks around in the water..

{Linking up with Love That Shot 'Splish Splash' theme}

LOL, I have so much trouble finding pants that fit this kid! She's so tall and skinny, they're either too short in the leg or too big in the waist :S
William had a bit of a jump around..

and collected some "treasure"

Charlotte didn't want to be in any photos, lol

They had a a bit of a dance around in the mud..

Then it was time to head home for dinner :)

Thanks for stopping by!!

And I just want to say thank you to everyone one who has left a beautiful comment lately, I've tried really hard to reply to them all but sometimes the kiddlets take up all my time! I really appreciate each and every one though :)

The Butterfly House

While we were in Coffs Harbour we made a last minute decision to visit the Butterfly House and I'm so glad we did, it was much better than I thought it was going to be :)

 There were HUNDREDS of butterflies in there, it was awesome :D

 It was also stinking hot, so you had to keep going outside for some fresh air!

There were plenty of opportunities to snap some pretty pictures
(I shared this one yesterday in Black & White)

{Showing Off My Shot and linking up with Little Somethings 'Macro' challenge and "I Learned" @ Click it Up a Notch - I learned I love playing with texture!}

and then, she {snapped}   Click it Up a Notch

And the staff were great, they explained all about the cycle from egg to chrysalis to butterfly

  And they had tubs of empty chrysalises and butterfly wings for the kids to feel

 They even gave Charlotte a bag of butterfly wings and a bag of chrysalises to take into preschool for show & tell :)

{I used Kim Klassen's Warm Sun texture}

I could have stayed there all day

The Daily Wyatt

 But I don't think anyone would have appreciated that!
Hubby caught one on his finger and tried to put it on William's head, lol.

Outside they had a old wooden maze. Charlotte had to come back in and rescue William and I hehe :D
They also had a big butterfly you could stick your face in for photos, so of course I marched my kids straight over there ;D
It was such a great afternoon, the kids had an absolute blast!
