Playing with Crayons

Whenever I buy Charlotte crayons, within minutes she's peeled their wrappers off and broken them all and it REALLY bugs me! So on Friday when I bought the kids a packet of crayons and a colouring book each I decided to get some crayon shots while they were still nice and new. It was a good chance to practice with natural lighting setups indoors too :D



I had planned on doing a high key edit on one of these for the Scavenger Hunt but I didn't get the rest of the items finished :/ 

This one is my favourite :) This is also my entry for 'Colourful'

I'm so happy with how these turned out I think I'm going to frame some to hang up in the kids play room :D

    Those will make great art for your kids playroom! So fun! I would have loved to see your high-key; I thought that prompt was the hardest. Next week...all of them sound hard.

    You photographed these crayons BEAUTIFULLY! I must try this sometime! Also, my son does the EXACT same thing! Peels the paper off crayons! He say's he's 'opening' them! Silly boy! :D

    I really love crayons! There is something so fun about them. I am glad you were able to shoot them when they were fresh and new : ) I think I got something for Kaish when he was little that was twistable. That was perfect since they didn't break all the time : )

    Okay, as I was looking at those awesome pics I was thinking, "oh, she should frame those, because they are all good and put them by where the crayons are or in a kids crafting area" and then there it was...your last sentence...you are on it already!

    Hey, Michelle! Oh yes, you should definitely frame them up and hang. My fave is the 2nd to last...just adore the shallow dof. Gorgeous!
