Caves Beach

On Sunday we took a drive up to Caves Beach. The kids hadn't been there before and they LOVED it. You go through a big cave and then through a tunnel and come out on the other side of the beach, it's pretty awesome :)
I planned on taking some shots of the tunnel and cave on the way back through but there was an "incident" lol


My beautiful babies :) Finally got a nice shot of them together. A little out of focus but I had to act fast before they ran off!

For all these shots I used my new Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 Lens. I heart it :) It's much crisper than the kit lens I was using! I didn't even have to edit these much, just reduced the size and sharpened for the web. Plus I  didn't have time to do any fancy editing, lol but I might go back and play with some of them :)

A few seconds after this he dived into the rock pool head first =O
Hubby was right there just out of the shot but wasn't quick enough to grab him, lol.
He looked very much like a drowned rat when he came out but wasn't too fussed about what had happened! 
Lucky I had a spare jumper and nappy in the car, lol

    Excellent series! Looks like that had such a wonderful time! I absolutely love the close up of his feet and hands playing in the sand!

    WOw! These pictures are BEAUTIFUL and your son oh my gosh...makes me wish for a little boy to dress up in surfer clothes!! Such cute kiddos!

    Your babies are so adorable; your little boy is so cute withi his still-chubby legs and those curls. :)

    Looks like quite a fun day and your pictures are great! (I know about out-of-focus shots. I have plenty of those, especially when you have kiddos who do not stay still for long!)

    I love all of your photos! I love the one where Dad and son were walking the beach and I can relate to having to take a quick shot before anyone moves! Definitely love your water shot!     I love these photos! Your children are both so beautiful and that beach is such a great place. My favorites are the ones of your little boy throwing the sand. Looks like a very fun day! Except for the plunge!

    FANTASTIC shots Michelle! I love them all but I think my favorite is the un-portrait of his chubby hands and feet in the sand. Warms me to my toes. :)

    Those are all just beautiful shots! Lol, I love the ones right before the "incident" I just knew what was going to happen! :) Aren't prime lenses amazing? I just got my first one and am soooo thrilled, they are so sharp and just amazing.

    I also had that lens but it didnt work well with my d40 but probably would of with my new camera but I sold it for a 85mm before I used it but I love others photos with it!
