Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

I've kinda rushed these, lol but I've been busy editing photo's from the wedding I did last week :D I'm really happy with how they turned out and will share some very soon!

1. Capture the Sky

I know I shared this photo on Friday but you get to see it again, lucky you! :P

2. Everyday

We've been taking the kids to the beach after dinner everyday lately :)

3. Furry

William got his furry little sheep when he was born. It sits on top of his chest of drawers with his other keepsakes :)

4. Life

My babies are my life :) I'm a stay at home Mum so this is what a day in my life looks like, always with my babies (making them be in photo's, lol)
(I should really buy some makeup LOL!)

5. Blurred

I bought Charlotte a Charlie and Lola umbrella for when we're walking to preschool, incase it starts raining :) We love Charlie and Lola!!
I was trying to get a cute picture of her with it but she wouldn't stop twirling it, lol

Baby in Flight :)

We've been taking the kids to the beach after dinner every night lately, trying to wear them out so they'll go to sleep at a reasonable hour. It doesn't work though, lol.
Anyhoo, this week has really been a huge step forward for me with my camera, I'm pretty much shooting everything in Manual now, hooray! I had one of those moments when it all just clunked into place in my head, lol. So I took my camera to the beach and was trying my hand at silhouette's and this is what I came up with:

(Heads, Shoulders, Knee's and Toes - Anything but a Face week at I Heart Faces)

I love this photo.
I love everything about it. It's probably not "perfect" technical-wise, lol but I just love how relaxed and free William looks in the air and I love that Charlotte is there, head thrown back laughing with the sun in her hair. And hubby looks a bit muscly too LOL!
I'm going to get it blown up and framed. Cause I heart it :D

And, it's SOOC, yay for me! I did try some editing on it but kept coming back to the original :)
And if anyone is interested
1/4000
f/5.0
ISO 100
I have no idea if those are the right kind of settings for this type of shot but I got a result I was happy with, lol.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

I haven't joined in the Scavenger Hunt for a while and I've really missed it! So I made sure I squeezed in enough time to participate this week :)

1. Chocolate

My favourite Lindt balls mmm yummy! My hubby and I haven't bought each other valentine's gifts since we got married (we're not really into Valentine's Day) but he surprised me this year with some chocolate :)

2. Numbers

Not very exciting but these are the numbers on our oven :D

3. Canned Food

 Charlotte's favourite "Wiggles skeddies" lol.

4. Music

My iPod. Which while I'd love to use it to drown out the sounds of my kiddies fighting, lol, sadly doesn't get used much!

 5. Stack

A stack of heart shape choc chip cookies. That I just realised I didn't even get to eat :/

For more Scavenger Hunting head to Ashley's blog!

I shot my first wedding yesterday and it was a success! I'll share some shot's once I get started on the editing :)

Simplicity - Colourful

We recently discovered that there are LOTS of birds hanging around our new house, lol. Hubby threw some bread out the other day with the kids and, I'm not kidding, at least 30 birds swooped in out of nowhere and gobbled it all up! We bought some proper bird food after that and have been feeding them most days, the kids love it, the birds let them get right up close :) (well, except when William runs at them laughing his head off and squealing 'birdie! birdie!' lol)

Linking up with this week's Simplicity challenge Colourful :)

Oh and tomorrow I'm shooting some wedding portraits for a gorgeous friend on Sydney Harbour! So excited but kind of want to throw up at the thought of being responsible for someone's wedding photo's LOL!
Wish me luck!!

My new favourite photo's :)

I don't normally post my digi scrap pages here but I really love how these two turned out, plus they have some of my newest and favourite shots in them :)

I love this first one, I'm going to print it and hang it in her bedroom :)

And I'm in love with this old rocking horse I scabbed off a friend haha!!

The kit was designed by a good digi scrap buddy of mine Kelly-Jo's Scraps. It hasn't been released just yet (I get it cause I'm special hehe) but you can check out her other kits :)

Do you digi scrap?

Black & White Wordless Wednesday

I know I've already shared these but I don't normally have anything for B&W Wednesday so I'm sharing again :D Plus I'm really proud of them :) Just a few I promise!

Everyone wave to my little nephew! hehe

I used Mandy @ A Sorta Fairytale's B&W Fairytale actions in Onyx :)

If you're interested in the rest of this shoot you can find it HERE :)

  the long road

Touch Up Tuesday - Ride 'em Cowboy!

Two posts in a row today!
If you missed it I'd love it if you could take a peek at the pregnancy shoot I did for my sister in law in the post before this one or you can click HERE :) pretty please? lol

On to my touch up!

I was lucky enough to score this old wooden rocking horse off a good friend :) I was actually there to buy her tv unit from her and her Mum asked if I would like the horse too and I said absolutely, already planning a little photo shoot, lol.

Here is the SOOC:

As you can see it needed cropping to get rid of the step and I needed to get rid of the power outlet and the patch on the wall. Plus the focus wasn't very sharp. The light wasn't very good as it was overcast and it's very hard to get a baby to sit still on a rocking horse so I got a bit of blur, especially his hand :/ but it was just too cute not to try and save!

Ta-Da! (as William would say hehe)

I ran Wonder Quickie from Paint The Moon to sharpen and boost the contrast, I used the clone stamp to get rid of the power outlet and the white patch on the wall then I used the Hershey action from Everyday Elements :)
Don't you want to eat him up!?
I also got a really good one of Charlotte but I'll share that another day :D

Baby Bump!

I was so excited when my hubby's little sis asked me to take some belly photo's for her :D
I'd never done any before so wasn't sure how I'd go but I'm so pleased with how they turned out. They're kinda cliched poses and I did a few with selective colouring but I don't care, lol.

They were a surprise for her partner for Valentines Day so I couldn't share until he'd seen them but he LOVED them, yay!

We did most of them in the kids play room standing against a black backdrop queen sized sheet haha because you get amazing light in there, it has huge glass windows and sliding doors to the back yard :)

I think this one is my favourite :)
Sweet Shot Day

This is my little neice :) Isn't she sweet?!

Photobucket

It's a boy! (If not I'll just change them to pink LOL!)

I really wanted to do something with the peacock feather but didn't know what so we just kinda stuck it there haha :D

She loved this one and was very happy to hear no touch ups were required on her legs to look this good, lol!

A special present from Daddy to be :)

I need to pin my backdrop down better so I don't lose toes, oops!

If you look carefully at the top right of her belly (or your left) you can see his foot poking out!!

We tried so hard to get her to kiss Mummy's belly but she wasn't having a bar of it, lol

Another favourite :)

Had enough by this stage, lol

weeeee!

This one was a bit tricky but I did my best! I had to get hubby to hold her scans up to the window and then take a photo of the best one, lol. Whatever happened to getting a picture print out?

All the B&W's were done using Mandy @ A Sorta Fairytale's B&W Fairytale actions in Onyx :)

So there you have it, sorry for the photo dump, lol.

Would love to know what everyone thinks? (bearing in mind I'm a beginner!) I couldn't get much out of hubby, he wasn't a fan of looking at his little sister in her knickers LOL!
