1. Side Lighting
lol, I don't know if this counts but my daughter ran upstairs to show me her "pretty feet" so I quickly snapped some shots then realised there was some great Side Lighting coming in from our big front window to the top of the stairs where she was standing =D
Yes.This is the best I could come up with LOL!
We don't really do Halloween in Australia and I've never made a Jack O'lantern (I don't even think we have the right pumpkins hahaha!) so I'm using this photo of Charlotte after she'd smeared her face with orange eye shadow. I told her she looked like a big pumpkin head - thats kind of like a Jack O'Lantern right? No? Bugger.
(We are going to a Halloween Day at Toys R Us though and she has a really cute ladybug costume to wear so we're not totally missing out :P)
3. Faces Formed In Nature
I had to cheat and dig this one up! It's from our Honeymoon in Western Australia, we were at the Margaret River Chocolate Factory drinking THE best hot chocolate I've ever tasted (big tall glass, 1/3 filled with choc chips then boiling milk poured on top *drool*) when we spotted this tree, it totally looks like the killer from Scream, right?? LOL!
4. Sunset
I caught this beautiful Sunset at the waterfront just down from our place. AND its SOOC from my Fuji Finepix 8mp point and shoot, not bad hey!
5. Warm
Now that the weather is getting nice and Warm here, we've been spending lots of time at the beach :)
Head over to Ashley's blog to check out the other entries for this week! I bet you'll find a tonne of real Jack O'lantern photo's =D

The sunset is stunning! And as an Aussie I would recommend making a jack-o-lantern with a watermelon! I've done it a couple of times, never at Halloween oddly enough, and it's so fun to eat the watermelon as you go. I think you're right about the pumpkins, we mostly have those Queensland blue ones, I think they'd be too hard. Great photos!
