Happy Halloweeeeeen!

My two little munchkins dressed up for some Halloween fun yesterday :) It's not big here like in the US but we did take the kids to the Halloween day at Toys R Us for some games and activities and "trick or treating" (they all got a pumpkin bucket and had to go around the store looking for the staff handing out lollies LOL!)

The Willy Man was Super Baby:

The light was really harsh but I knew if I waited til later in the day he'd be filthy or asleep, lol so did the best I could =D
He's only new to walking so looked so funny toddling around with his little cape flapping behind hehe

And my little princess Charlotte was a ladybird

The Paper Mama

So difficult to get a smile out of this kid!!
And she had a MEGA tantrum just before this too. Because we wouldn't let her fly to Toys R Us on her broomstick. By herself. LOL!

I'm running really behind on Scavenger Hunt Sunday too =O been a bit hectic here this week but we may have finally sold our place woohoo!!

Touch Up Tuesday. And a Bubble. =D

I have another photo of William in his camera bodysuit to share for Touch Up Tuesday.

Here is the SOOC:

He loves this spot half way up the stairs, he can see out the window, lol.

I *think* I added a brightness/contrast layer, cropped it, then I used the clone stamp and healing tool to get rid of the skirting board around the stairs because it was too distracting. To me anyway, lol. And I've never really used those tools much before so it might look a little dodgy, lol. Then I ran A Sorta Fairytale's B&W action in Indigo :)

Touch Up Tuesday's at the Paper Mama

And now one for The Happiness Project

The kids and I were at Mum's house yesterday and had some fun blowing bubbles! Who doesn't love bubbles? So much fun!
(As usual I have a stack of hilarious photo's of my brother that I am forbidden to use. Bugger, lol)

A View From Above and A Smile :)

The theme over at The Moments In Between is "smile" and I just happen to have one of the smiliest bubba's around! He so happy all the time and is always laughing, he even does a big grin when I get the camera out! The hardest part of this challenge was picking which smiley photo to use!

Have a look at all the other beautiful smiles here:

And over at Paper Heart Camera the Show and Tell theme is View From Above. I actually already posted TWO shots from above this week, bugger! But luckily I had a third one, lol, it must have been my week for it!!

Show:

Tell: I took this while we were out bushwalking on the weekend, I love Charlotte's eyes :) I wish I had those lashes!
(and a bit bummed by the bright sun on her nose, I'm not clever enough to fix it, lol)

Photography love...

Thats it for today, time to put a sleepy little boy to bed :)

Lollipop, Lollipop....

When we were wandering around the shops on Thursday Charlotte wanted to go in the special Lolly Shop that has all the candy from the US and UK that we miss out on here in OZ, lol and begged me for this giant lollipop! I said she could have one if she let me take photo's of her with it haha!

I used one for Scavenger Hunt Sunday and I'm going to use some more for Sunday Snapshot =D

Ni Hao Y'all

You could also say G is for Girl with Giant Lollipop...ok that was a stretch but its all I had for the ABC challenge this week!!
( I have some awesome Giraffe photo's but they're from a few months ago so I won't cheat =D)

For lots more "G" photo's head to Barb's Photo Journal

Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

Scavenger Hunt day!

Its miserable and rainy here and the kids are asleep at.the.same.time =O so I'm quickly going to get this posted!

1. The 5 Senses

My name is Michelle and I am a chocoholic.
Seriously.
I chose this Cadbury Mint Bubbly chocolate because it SMELLS good (choc-mint mmm)
It LOOKS good with its green bubbles inside the yummy brown chocolate (excuse my fingerprints all over it, it was melty, lol)
It FEELS good when you let it melt slowly in your mouth, you can feel the bubbles pop!
Even the SOUND of the word 'chocolate' is delicious (lol, I'm struggling to make stuff up!!)
Do I even need to mention the TASTE???

(haha just saw next week has 'chocolate' as an item! will have to get some more to photograph...what a shame...LOL!)

2. Child/Children

This Child of mine does not mix well with sugar...which is why I am very relieved that she didn't actually eat much of this giant lollipop!
(For example: we went out for a big family dinner at an all you can eat restaurant last night and I discovered her and one of her cousins standing in front of the chocolate fountain sticking in marshmallow after marshmallow and laughing like this "He he HEE HA ha heee heee ha HAA HAAAA!! He heheheheh HAHAHA!!!" with matching chocolate moustaches =D)

 3. Dining

My favourite kind of Dining - outdoors on a picnic rug with plastic cutlery =D
This wasn't the best photo I got but I couldn't resist when I saw this little ant had snuck into the shot!

4. Night

The other Night on my way to bed I stuck my head in to check on Charlotte and discovered her sound asleep with "Stiggy" - she picked out this bottle of shower gel shaped like The Stig for Daddy for Fathers Day last month and has claimed the empty bottle!

5. Sky

This is from a couple of months ago, the sky has been flat and grey here lately, lol. I had a tough time choosing which photo I would use for Sky, there were these amazing clouds while we were out fishing and I have heaps of shots with hubby and Charlotte in them against this gorgeous sky but thought I'd go with this one :) Will share the others one day!

And there you have it!

The Paper Mama: Black & White

I'm joining in the challenge over at The Paper Mama today, I haven't done one there yet but I've been lurking around =D

This week's theme is Black and White and I have just the photo! Actually, I took 122 of him in this little suit =O but the rules say one only hahaha! Plus I haven't had time to edit them all yet, lol.

I thought this suit was hilarious seeing as I always have the camera shoved in his little face =D Plus it was only $5 at Kmart, bargain!

(I'm a bit early with this one so I can't link up yet, but its late Saturday afternoon here Down Under, lol)

Some Tuesday Challenges!

I have SO MANY photo's to edit and way too little time!! We've had beautiful Spring weather lately so have been on lots of little family bush walking trips, out feeding the ducks and just having fun outdoors. So of course I've taken a million photo's every time we go out, lol.

I took this last week when I took these photo's, Charlotte and my brother were having fun attempting to hula hoop...I have some hilarious shots of my brother spinning the hoop on his leg but he'd probably kill me if I posted them LOL!

Here is the SOOC

Very dark and shadowy! I had the camera on sports mode still from when I was taking funny photo's of them hula-ing, lol
(and yes she really needs to wear a belt with those jeans!)

I really don't remember what I did to it haha! I know I brightened and sharpened it then added a brightness/contrast adjustment layer where I made it even brighter then masked out everything except the hoop to make it pop more. Then I ran Paint The Moon's Creamy Soy Latte :)

Touch Up Tuesday's at the Paper Mama

This photo of my little man makes me happy :) Trying to climb a tree while we were out feeding the ducks. Which happens to be his newest word "Duck! Duck!"  hehe. He also now says "MaMa" for Grandma, lol. Not to be confused with "MumMum" for me =D

Photobucket

(I'm a bit early with this one, its been moved to Thursday because of a sick bubba :( Hope he's on the mend soon!)

The theme this week for the Simplicity challenge is SOOC so I've chosen this wildflower picture from our bushwalk on Sunday =D

And one last one for Trendy Treehouse, this weeks theme is 'Story In Pictures'

It's nothing special creative-wise but it really sums up our walk on the weekend - hubby teaching Charlotte about all the different plants and William touching every little thing he could reach, lol.

ShutterLoveTuesdays

Thats it for now! Off to edit some more pics!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

Sunday again! I really struggled with this week's items, lol so not my best week but still some fun shots to share!

1. Side Lighting
lol, I don't know if this counts but my daughter ran upstairs to show me her "pretty feet" so I quickly snapped some shots then realised there was some great Side Lighting coming in from our big front window to the top of the stairs where she was standing =D

 2. Jack O'Lantern

Yes.This is the best I could come up with LOL!
We don't really do Halloween in Australia and I've never made a Jack O'lantern (I don't even think we have the right pumpkins hahaha!) so I'm using this photo of Charlotte after she'd smeared her face with orange eye shadow. I told her she looked like a big pumpkin head - thats kind of like a Jack O'Lantern right? No? Bugger.
(We are going to a Halloween Day at Toys R Us though and she has a really cute ladybug costume to wear so we're not totally missing out :P)

3. Faces Formed In Nature

I had to cheat and dig this one up! It's from our Honeymoon in Western Australia, we were at the Margaret River Chocolate Factory drinking THE best hot chocolate I've ever tasted (big tall glass, 1/3 filled with choc chips then boiling milk poured on top *drool*) when we spotted this tree, it totally looks like the killer from Scream, right?? LOL!

4. Sunset

I caught this beautiful Sunset at the waterfront just down from our place. AND its SOOC from my Fuji Finepix 8mp point and shoot, not bad hey!

5. Warm

Now that the weather is getting nice and Warm here, we've been spending lots of time at the beach :)

Head over to Ashley's blog to check out the other entries for this week! I bet you'll find a tonne of real Jack O'lantern photo's =D
