Memories, Dreams and Reflections 2012

It's that time again, can you believe it?! This is my favourite meme of the year, I love going through my photos of the year and choosing the ones that suit each prompt.

I'm so behind with my photo editing it's not even funny. I'm really struggling to find the time for any personal projects with a 3 year old and a 6 year old running around (especially now we're well into the summer holidays!)

I think I have a photo for each prompt though, we'll see!

1. Me! – picture of yourself (you don’t have to show your face). What are you most proud of accomplishing in 2012?

Bit sad that this is the best "me" shot I could find, lol. Must get in more photos!

2. I Love You – picture of your husband, boyfriend, children, pets, etc.

I love my little family :)

3. Still Laughing… – a moment you’re still laughing about now…tell us a story.

Ok so I have to cheat a little for this prompt as I didn't take this photo but we are DEFINITELY still laughing about this! William's first "big boy" ride. This was the third time we had holidayed at Sea World in 6 months and he finally *just* scraped in meeting the height requirement for the Flume ride. The expression on his face and the way his hair is flying up is hilarious! Plus there's the terrified look on Charlotte's face ;)

4. Winter Wonderland – a picture that reflects Winter.

It doesn't snow where we are in Australia, so when the Hunter Valley Gardens had their annual 'Snow Time in the Gardens' we thought we'd take the kids. It was a far cry from a "winter wonderland" with a tiny patch of rock hard dirty grey "snow" for making snow angels and snowmen (with about 5000 kids? I don't think so, lol) but the kids had a blast, especially on the toboggans :)

5. Birthday – share a birthday picture (your own or someone you love).

 Charlotte celebrated her 6th birthday a couple of weeks ago! The photos will make it onto my blog eventually!

And our little man celebrated his 3rd birthday with a Fireman Sam party :)

6. Friends – a picture with friends (this could be your friends or your children with their friends).

7. I Was Inspired… – could be a picture of your inspiration (person or thing), or inspired by…

I was inspired to experiment with different perspectives and angles when we went to the Treetop Adventure park. Charlotte was amazing that day!

8. Spring Fever – a picture that reflects Spring.

Beautiful spring flowers :)

9. Travel or Vacation – a picture taken on vacation or on a recent travel experience…even if it was only a few miles away.

Our trip in April to the Gold Coast when we stayed at Sea World Resort. It was awesome!!

10. Summer Days – a picture that reflects Summer.

Charlotte signed up to Nippers this year, so our summer days are spent at the beach!

11. A Day In My Life – a picture of a typical day in your life.

My day consists of school runs and swimming lessons and library visits and tree climbing and sibling fights and playgrounds!

12. All Smiles – a picture that makes you smile or of smiling faces.

Cheeky monkey! This one is going back all the way to the beginning of 2012~

13. Autumn Harvest – a picture that reflects Autumn/Fall.

The closest I could find for Autumn...the boots and the colours are sort of Autumn-ish, right? ;)

14. Family or Home – a picture of your family or a picture that represents family/home for you.

My babies :) Santa surprised Charlotte with her own kayak for christmas...I have no idea how to avoid the yellow colour cast when taking pictures! Something to learn this year ;)

15. Celebrate! – a picture that reflects a celebration.

I just celebrated my 21st + 10 (haha) birthday! Hubby surprised me with an overnight stay on Sydney Harbour where we had dinner and a Luna Park date :)

16. Let’s Do It Again… – a picture of something you’d like to do again soon.

I'd love to take another trip to the Gold Coast!

17. I Miss You – a picture of someone or something you really miss.

I miss William's curly hair!! The hairdresser got a little snip happy and cut way too much off! He looks super handsome with his short spiky hair but I still miss those curls. Maybe we'll grow them back in winter :)

18. Beautiful – a picture of someone or something you find beautiful.

19. Dress Up – this might be a picture from Halloween or not…but someone who is all dressed up!

Charlotte's broken arm...this was before the hospital realised they'd stuffed up and her elbow was also dislocated. She spent 6 weeks with her arm strapped under her chin!

21. Holidays – a picture from the Holiday of your choice.

I wish she would stop growing. First year of big school over already!

I hope that this year I can find the balance between taking pictures for other people and staying on track with my own personal projects. Right now this is something that is majorly stressing me out, I was so busy in the last half of the year my 52, 365 and my blog all suffered (not to mention the housework!). At least I have all the photos and it's just a matter of putting them together for printing. I only just got my Project 52 from 2011 printed!

I can not believe the year has come to an end already! 

I feel like I've been so busy taking photos for everyone else I haven't taken enough of my own little family this year :( And most of the photos I have taken are just sitting on my hard drive, untouched, barely looked at because I just don't have the time :(

BUT I think I can manage to scrape together 12 good ones ;)

 1. Charlotte's first day of Kindergarten :)

( I took a matching last day of Kindergarten photo which I will eventually get around to sharing one day :/)

I love this one too, she's so pretty :)
