2012 Holiday Card!

I'm finally getting around to posting my card for The Paper Mama's Challenge!

I usually like to do a funny card but it just wasn't happening this year, the kids weren't really interested! But I took some photos of charlotte blowing glitter and thought they'd make a pretty card so that's what I did :)

This isn't our family card, this is the card that Charlotte gave out to all her Kindergarten class mates. I got some lovely compliments on it and Charlotte absolutely loves it so we're happy!

I used a free template from Simple as That and tweaked it a little bit to suit the photo :)

I hope you like our card, be sure to check out the other entries, there are some FABULOUS ones this year (especially The Paper Mama's, I love it!)

Flying Cutie

I've been so busy lately, with two weddings, a corporate Christmas Party for 800 people plus some Christmas sessions but I managed to squeeze in my own little family ;)

I've been wanting to do these photos since William's birthday in September when he got this tin ride on plane. We finally found a spare afternoon to go up the mountain and play!

All photos taken with my Canon 7D and 50mm 1.8
I just did a little levels adjustment in PSE and then used Paint the Moon's 'Candy Light Pop' from the Fresh Wonderland set :)

and  then, she {snapped}

"Smile for Mummy?" "No. BUM." hahaha

Doesn't he look so handsome and grown up with his new haircut?! No more waves though :(

We actually went up there to do our Christmas card photos but somebody ^^^^^ didn't want to know about it, haha.

My Sister in Law is Married! {Norah Head Lighthouse Wedding}

On Saturday, my littlest sister in law got married and I was honoured that she asked me to capture their special day :)
It feels like we'd been talking about this day forever and then finally it was here!

They had the ceremony in the grounds of Norah Head Lighthouse and we were allowed access inside to take a few pictures. I was excited when I found out there were black and white tiles in there ;D

We also went down to the beach to get some more shots but for now I will leave you with a peek inside the lighthouse. Aren't they the cutest couple ever?! ;)
I was really nervous about how these shots would turn out because it was quite dark in there and I had my ISO up at 800 but I think they turned out quite well considering!

Buzz + Rapunzel {Halloween2012}

As you may know, Halloween isn't really a big deal here in Australia. It's nothing like the amazing pictures I always see from you guys in the US!
I think I saw maybe two houses here that were decorated and there is no way I'd let my kids go Trick or Treating. If we celebrated like the US then it'd probably be my favourite holiday haha, but for now the kids settled for dressing up in case anyone came knocking on our door.
I think we had 5 or 6 kids come, none of them in proper costumes!

Anyway, the kids had fun dressing up and we snapped some quick pictures out on the drive way :)

Buzz Lightyear!
"Pew pew pew pew pew" (thats William shooting you with his laser, lol)

This costume is waaay too big for him! My Mum actually won it in a Toys R Us competition back when Toy Story 3 came out at the cinema. She won $900 worth of Toy Story toys! She still has some tucked away in her wardrobe, the kids were a bit little for some of the stuff when she won it, lol.

Rapunzel!

You might remember this dress from Charlotte's Tangled Rapunzel Party last year. It's just a pretty dress from Target but she calls it her Rapunzel dress :) She wasn't interested in dressing up as Dorothy like I wanted her to haha.

We tried for some photos of them together....

CHarlotte thought it would be funny if she picked William up so he was 'flying' like Buzz. These pictures are SO William, he is such a little ham :)

Someone snuck a lollipop from the basket ;)

and  then, she {snapped}
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you had a great Halloween!

Gone Fishin'

I'm still making my way through the photos from the wedding I shot last week, and both my kiddos have been unwell so it's very slow going at the moment!

I'm just sharing this fun picture from the day (if you follow me on Facebook then you've already seen it, sorry!)
A little bit of right place, right time. The lady who caught it was more than happy to let us take a few snaps with this little fishie before he was released back into the water :)

A Wedding Sneak Peek

On Sunday I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of some extended family of ours ;)

It was a beautiful day, everyone looked gorgeous and I even got to ride in the stretch hummer with the bridal party, woo!
I used both my new Canon 7D and my old faithful 550D and by the end of the night my neck was killing me! Lucky I was able to bring hubby along to help me out with all my bags and gear :)

I'm busily working on the rest of the photos so will post some more once they're finished.

I'm super excited for my next wedding now! It's at the end of November and it's my little sister in law, can't wait!

Quarterly Top 5 {July - September}

Oh my goodness, another 3 months has passed already! This year is absolutely flying! I can't believe my baby girl only has one more term of Kindergarten left, crazy.

I'm posting this a little early because in the morning we are off on a little holiday seeing as Charlotte is on school holidays :)

I haven't shared this photo before, as I only took it yesterday with my new Canon 7D and Canon 24-105mm f4 L lens! There's a pretty cool story behind how I ended up with the new gear which I'll share later :)
I'm still figuring out how to use it so any tips would be greatly appreciated!

This is a photo of Charlotte's first time riding her brand new bike with NO TRAINING WHEELS!
You can see more of these pictures HERE.
This was taken at the beach when a leopard seal decided to visit! That was a very rare occurrence and very exciting! You can see pictures of our seal visitor HERE.
This was taken a few weeks ago at The Museum of Fire (pictures HERE.) We took William there as a treat for his 3rd birthday, he's obsessed with Fireman Sam and fire engines :)
My little ham ;D

I'm sneaking this extra shot in here, it's not often I get a nice photo of my babies together!

Thanks for stopping by! I can't wait to see everyone's Top 5!
