Love Your Shot! Link Up

I love this photo so much I'm going to link it to Love Your Shot! Favourite Faces :D I'm a bit intimidated by the other entries, lol but I'm being brave!!

I cropped and sharpened it then ran CoffeeShop's B&W Splendor and adjusted they layers til I was happy with the result :) This was taken in a bush pretty much on the side of the road haha! All Charlotte's idea for once!

Charlotte's Photoshoot

We went for a walk into the shops the other day (there was a butterfly exhibit on for the school holidays) and on the way home Charlotte was in a very unusually photographic mood! I had my camera with me not only for the butterflies but for something else I've been wanting to shoot for AGES (will have to post those pics another day, lol) so I was more than happy to indulge the little supermodel LOL! ("oh this looks like a good place Mummy, take my picture here!")


I had a play around with some different edits, some looked better in B&W others in colour, plus I have so many new actions I needed to try out! They aren't perfect but I'm pretty happy with them :)

Plus I'm doing a workshop at the moment with Isabelle LaFrance so I can learn how to not rely on actions so much =D

Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

It's Sunday and I'm joining in the Scavenger Hunt again this week! I had a lot of fun taking these, its great practice!


This weeks items were:


1. Miniature 

My parents made my kids a "Secret Garden" in their backyard and its full of Miniature fairies and elves and butterflies and other little creatures :)


2. Water Droplet

My husband built me this water feature in our courtyard to put the fishies we had on the tables at our wedding in :) The fountain hasn't been turned on it a while and when I turned it on the catch this Water Droplet....omg the swampy stink that came out of it!! lol better get him to give it a clean!!

3. Bedhead

 William's Bed Head hehe. This is how he looks when he wakes up, cheeks flushed from sleep, hair all curly and scruffy and sweaty and a big ring around his mouth from his dummy =D (He's normally a lot happier when he wakes, but I think he was a little alarmed by Mummy swooping in with her camera blazing!)

4. Colourful

I immediately thought of our big jar of Sprinkles for this one! You don't get more Colourful than that!   I had them spilled out of the jar onto a plate and a certain 3 year old's little hand kept darting in and stealing them :P

5. Eyes

I cheated and used an old photo for this one. I had this as my desktop for months,  I really love how Charlotte's Eyes stand out in this (yes thats my dirty shoe, lol)

I'm off to edit some more pics I took this morning on our 10km walk/ bike ride. I can't believe my 3 year old can ride so far with out complaining or stopping once! I feel like I could sleep for a week!

Fun at the Park

We went for a little family stroll to the park the other day, so naturally I took my camera with me =D And took way to many photo's as usual. I won't bombard you with all of them, but I do really like this shot of Charlotte on the swing. I wasn't sure how it would come out but I think it looks ok after a bit of editing :) I made a duplicated and adjusted the exposure to bring up the tree's, then put it on top of the original and masked out the sky, so the original sky showed through. If that makes sense?? I picked that tip up from The Pioneer Woman =D

I was also lucky enough to win a $25 gift card from Paint The Moon Photography yesterday and bought myself the delicious Fresh Wonderland action set! It was a hard choice between that and the Summer Breeze set, but that can be my next purchase!

Shoot n Tell: Bounce

When I stumbled across this challenge, I knew I had to submit these photo's I took of Charlotte last week bouncing on our bed! They aren't perfect but I think her poses and expressions are just priceless :P

This last one just cracks me up!

I Heart Faces - Smirk

I decided at the last minute to enter the I Heart Faces challenge for this week. The theme is "smirk" and I thought this pic suited pretty well =D And thats a baby cino in her hand, not a real coffee hehe.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

1. Wish/Dream

My little girl Dreaming in the car. You could also say I Wish she was like this all the time, lol. She's not this angelic when she's awake let me tell you!!

Look at all them moneys, hehe. That isn't the money out of the piggy bank by the way, lol I would've had to smash it!

This is the Pair of earrings I wore on my wedding day. My beautiful sister in law made them for me, along with a gorgeous bracelet, necklace and little tiara :)

5. Square

I struggled with this one, lol, so I decided on this Square plaque I have in my bedroom :)

I got this photo of Charlotte in between her "cool tricks" she was doing on our bed. This basically involves her jumping up and down and doing twists in the air, lol.
It wasn't exposed very well and I did my best to fix it up...its a little bit blown out though!

William's 1st Birthday Mini Photo Shoot

I just loved the little outfit I bought for William to wear to his first birthday party so I had a bit of a photo shoot with him! I thought he looked adorable in his little shirt and tie, even with his grubby little bandaged hand, lol. Poor bubba burned it on the oven and scored himself a trip to the emergency room :( He's all healed up now though :)


So here are the photo's I took, I processed them all with Pump Me Up by Nelly Nero and A Blackbird Sings by Johnna Lafaith.

He's a bit of a cutie pants isn't he? lol

I've also started to do some changes to my blog, I've been adding some pages for my fun fantasy photo's I make in PSE and also some of my Digital Scrapbooking pages. It's still all 'under construction' lol but I'll get it all organised eventually!
